Crosby leaves no rust in return to hockey

320 days that's how long the not just the NHL but the Hockey world went on without the man, the face of the game, the awe inspiring Sidney Crosby. it was January 1st new years day when the historic and somewhat debatable winter classic took part in beautiful Heinz Field in Pittsburgh when Sidney Crosby took a blindside hit from the former Washington  Capital David Stekel. before this hit took place Crosby was on a multi point per game streak, one could argue his best career statistically yet. as soon as this hit took place every hockey fan or general sports fan stood still and held there collective breaths as "Sid The Kid' lay dazed and definitely surprised on the ice after that David Stekel hit. Never before has Crosby been  out of action this long and never has he had to face this serious of an injury (don't believe me just check out my first post on head shots). Never had the NHL or the game of hockey had this much panic this much worry in them, there were talks of even Sidney Crosby retiring, so much to the point where Sid himself had to reach out to the media to confirm that retirement was out of the question. What was even more shocking is how little the Pittsburgh staff took notice and how little they took caution to this occurrence.  it even took a second hit to the head of Crosby from Tamapa Defenceman Victor Headman to really get the Penguins organization to take notice to the injured Sidney Crosby

After 320 days of questions, repeated questions, analysis, and hope, Sidney Crosby finally got out of the press box and into a pair of rebook skates laced up the knots, and took to the ice in front of a jam packed energy filled Console Energy Center in downtown Pittsburgh. the roar of the crowd the thousands Sid signs rose the energy level to a height that gave everyone including me goosebumps and chills that could only be matched by the anticipation of the franchise player returning to the ice. and how do he fare you ask, well he bursts  with that certain gear that seems only Crosby can go to, fed the puck to a wide open Chris Kunitz who just missed what would have been an eruption of cheers had he scored by hitting the post. Soon after though third shift for Crosby he stole the puck in his own end behind the net and immediately hit that high gear down the ice, made the New York Islanders look like minor league players, out muscled the opposing players and went backhand top cheese for his first goal in nearly a year.  as soon as that goal horn sounded you knew the man was excited, so excited he let out an exciting curse that was felt across the nation. Twitter blew up, the arena blew up, Canada blew up. but Crosby was not done there not even close. he notched another goal and 2 assists as he tallied a total of 4 points in just his first game back. if it wasn't clear then it is now he is back and he has not slowed down one bit. don't be at all surprised if he goes on one of these amazing point streaks that jet him up to the top and have him winning trophies he already posses.

I don't know if i speak for everyone but i know i speak for most the "kid" is back, and it never felt better.

goodnight everybody
